Insurgent Brand Hunt Update #4

First up, sincere apologies for a delayed update. January 2021 was spent thinking on how to make IBH more valuable for brands and shoppers - a lot of exploration is pending. Suggestions are welcome! Shoot an email to insurgentbrandnews@gmail.com

Coming to Update #4, we have discovered 30 more brands 🎉🎉. The total tally of insurgent brands in IBH is now 291. Here are some highlights of the update:

  • Farm-based organic products are growing strong - right opportunity to build an aggregation layer to curate and improve customer experience?
  • The Bar is going strong, and this update surfaces six new brands in the space. Interesting to see first insurgent moves in brown spirits in India. Also notice, Konkani phrases as brand names! Sample Maka Zai (I want) and Maka Di (Give me)
  • Branded fruits and vegetables anyone? Yes, farm (agri-tech?) startups now deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to your doorstep. A contingency during the lockdown has become a legit revenue channel.

Change Note: We would like to see more purpose-driven brands, passionate founders do well. IBH will feature brands that spell their purpose on their storefront and also provide information on the founding team.

Insurgent Brand Hunt

IBH is an attempt to share a repository of growing brands and also provide fellow consumers with a platform to share their favourite brands with the world. IBH is also intended to be a community of consumers to share more about brands resonate with them. Hence the "hunt".
